Volunteering

Volunteering is a required part of having your child enrolled for AquaJets summer swim team. It takes a minimum of 40 volunteers to run one single meet. In order to be able to run meets for the children we require that you complete four assignments in order to keep your child in good standing. If you are signed up for an assignment and do not show then your child may be banned from participating until you make up the assignment.

Once you have registered your child for AquaJets, you will need to sign up for which meets you will be available to help with.

*Parents who have only Little Squirts will only need to sign up for the two Little Squirt meets on July 6th and July 20th.

*If you have just a Regular Swimmer or a Regular Swimmer and Little Squirt, please select 5 regular meets even though you are only required to do four.  Once everyone has signed up, the schedule will be sent out and each family will be scheduled for 4 meets.  A reminder will be sent out two days before each meet.

The deadline to sign up for your volunteer shifts is May 28, 2010.  If you do not sign up, the Volunteer Coordinator will assign you.

If you need to switch with someone after the Volunteer Schedule has been sent out, you will need to find someone from the team to switch with.  Please let Samantha Bailey know who you have switched with.

Our team is always looking for Officials.  If you would like to learn more about becoming an official, please contact Maryvance or Mike Morrisroe.
